John Peddie

My journey with Camberley YFC started all the way back in 1999 whilst I was lead singer in the christian punk band ‘Cephas’. We ministered to the alternative music scene which was exploding in Aldershot at the time, as well as in music venues around the UK. The band worked closely with CYFC to to deliver school assemblies, lessons, lunchtime clubs and the odd school concert… The Tomlinscote drama hut lunchtime show is legendary!

Since then, I have:

• Been an Assistant Floor Manager on a shopping Telly Channel
• Been an Assistant House Master at the Elmhurst Ballet School in Camberley
• Been a full time youth worker at Heatherside Church,
• Started a pioneer church at the Aldershot West End Centre called ‘Songs of Rage’
• Worked as a TA in a Secondary School
• Been a 1-2 -1 carer for children with Autism
• Built a video marketing company
• Worked on a Star Wars production
• Seen West Ham United win a trophy!

I’m a member of Heatherside church which I attends with my wife and two children and can sometimes be found playing drums in church worship bands. I enjoy music, live sport, gardening, meals out, good beer and travel.  My specialist subject on Mastermind would be – Children’s Television from the 80’s and 90s.
